Our History

In 1979, Mr. Cyril Vachon founded in St-Ambroise, Quebec, a local agricultural equipment distribution company called JAC. In 1982, in addition to distribution, JAC began manufacturing agricultural equipment for potatoes. The business slowly evolves and eventually goes out of business. In 1989, Mr. Vachon founded a new company called Capital Equipment which grew rapidly during the 1990s.

Over the years, Mr. Vachon diversified his equipment to provide turnkey automated solutions for the handling, washing, sorting, packaging and storage of many fruits and vegetables. In 2011, his son, Steeve Vachon, became a shareholder and breathed new life into the company. Considered a leader in its industry, Capital Equipment now supplies equipment distributed and manufactured throughout North America for the harvesting and packaging of agricultural products.

Capital Equipment relies on an excellent team of technicians who design, manufacture, and install equipment recognized for their robustness and reliability. The company also has another division, Capital Laser, which offers laser cutting and metal bending services.

Capital Equipment is therefore an ideal partner for the modernization and automation of your agricultural equipment.
